چکیده
Abstract Sedimentary soil is made up of deposits that are the consequence weathering rocks have already been deposited elsewhere by various natural processes, including water, wind, and others. A location with sedimentary Bili-bili Dam in South Sulawesi Province's Gowa Regency. at this quite abundant has not used general, so it can be investigated for its use, namely stability against influence external forces on carrying capacity soil. Stabilizing one approach to boost bearing capacity, particularly The original categorized as group A-4, or silty soil, according AASHTO classification system ML, silt low plasticity, USCS system, based findings physical characteristics testing. It demonstrated soil's cohesiveness shear angle increase addition fly ash. adding ash stabilizing material allowing cure increased cohesion value from initial 0.72 kg/cm2 1.70 after 28 days. With a 20% mixture curing period days, 22 31; 40% value.

Study on Strength Behavior of Organic Soil Stabilized with Fly Ash
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fly ash on the consistency, compactness, acidic properties, and strength of organic soil. The presence of organic content in the soil has detrimental impacts on the physical and strength behavior of soil. To investigate the effectiveness of fly ash in the stabilization of organic soil, two types of fly ashes (Type I and Type II) at different...
متن کاملShear Strength Characteristics of Fiber Reinforced Fly Ash
Disposal of an industrial waste like flyash produced from burning of coals in thermal power stations requires a large land area. The decreasing availability of good construction site has led to the increased use of low lying areas filled up with industrial wastes whose bearing capacity is low. In-situ treatment of such industrial waste fills; in order to improve their bearing capacity with rein...
متن کاملElastic properties of fly ash-stabilized mixes
Stabilized mixes are used in the construction of bearing layers in asphalt and concrete pavement structures. Two nondestructive methods: resonant frequency method and ultrasonic pulse velocity method, were used for estimation of elastic properties of fly ash-stabilized mixes. Stabilized mixes were designed containing sand from the river Drava and binder composed of different share of cement and...
متن کاملShear Strength of Soil
One of the most important and the most controversial engineering properties of soil is its shear strength or ability to resist sliding along internal surfaces within a mass. The stability of a cut, the slope of an earth dam, the foundations of structures, the natural slopes of hillsides and other structures built on soil depend upon the shearing resistance offered by the soil along the probable...
متن کاملStrength and behaviour of Fly Ash based Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete Composite
This experimental investigation is to study the effects of replacement of cement (by weight) with five percentage of fly ash and the effects of addition of steel fiber composite. A control mixture of proportions 1:1:49:1.79 with w/c of 0.45 was designed. Cement was replaced with five percentages (10%, 15%, 20%, 25% & 30%) of Class C fly ash. Four percentages of steel fibers (0.15%, 0.30%, 0.45%...
